Position Title: TSO Drum Tech, Student Assistant Specialist Requisition Number: 0406073426 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Jazz/Tech Services Responsibilities: The Technical Services Office at the College of Performing Arts seeks a highly motivated student to serve as TSO Drum Tech, Student Assistant Specialist. We’re looking for a reliable individual to support initiatives within the TSO. This position reports to the Academic Space and Equipment Coordinator and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in the performing arts.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Work Mode: On-Campus Position
Hourly Rate: $16/hour
Hours per Week: 10
Responsibilities: Work with TSO Academic Space and Equipment Coordinator to maintain drum kits throughout Arnhold Hall Regular rounds (biweekly, or a combination of shifts totalling 10 hrs/week) of every drum kit room in Arnhold Hall to assess, tune, and repair each kit Help maintain an inventory of each individual set Advise TSO on drum / percussion gear needs Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Student enrolled in one of the following programs: BFA in Jazz/Contemporary Music (Drums Concentration); or BM, MM, PDPL in Orchestral Instruments (Percussion Concentration) Working knowledge of standard drum kit hardware, tuning, and basic maintenance Able to report to TSO regularly as early as 8am and as late as 10am Monday through Friday Able to lift minimum 30 lbs Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Prior drum tech experience Recipient of Federal Work Study award Job Family: School of Jazz Posting Date: 07/02/2024 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Yes Supplemental Questions
