**Job Description Summary**
The T&D Automation leader partners across businesses functions and production sites to support the Technology Maturation strategy for the Engine external hardware in the framework of automation.
In this role, you will be accountable for the execution of the technical strategy to both continuously improve SQDC and help the part Family achieve strategic objectives. You will do this by driving technology roadmap industrialization and defining and leading the automation standardization center for the part family.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Partner across the T&D part family, Central ME and Engineering functions to execute technology roadmaps and champion the industrialization of the technologies to ensure manufacturing readiness, with a focus on automation of fabrication processes, bending, forming, welding and inspection.
+ Support the investment process in the scope of activity.
+ Accountable for On Time, On Cost, On Quality execution of the automation projects.
+ Contribute to process improvement actions such as Value Stream Mapping, Production Preparation Process (3P) with production sites.
+ Benchmark industry standards.
+ Build the relevant partnerships to reach the Part Family goals.
+ Organize and chair MRL reviews and drive action item governance in his/her scope of work.
+ Foster the use of simulation in defining process definition and parameters.
+ Coordinate part transitions from Development to Production shops through implementation of a standardization center. Responsible for S,Q,D,C of the center.
+ Organize or perform the try storms and the manufacturing of demonstrators.
+ Accountable for the standard works to be implemented in the sites.
+ Manage LRIP products manufacturing on demand.
+ Utilize structured problem solving and enterprise management methods and processes: Advanced Product Quality Plan, Manufacturing Readiness Level processes.
+ **Up to 25% travel**
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years of experience in contribute to process improvement actions such as Value Stream Mapping, Production Preparation Process (3P with production sites
+ Prior experience in manufacturing engineering and/or
+ Prior experience in automation of special processes
+ Engineering degree or significant technical experience
