Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our washer department, specifically focusing on operating a tumbling machine. Your role will involve ensuring each machine is filled with the correct amount of chemicals and parts, and then operating the machine to clean and smooth the edges of parts. This position involves some measuring tasks using calipers and micrometers. Initially, you will start on the 1st shift with a training pay of $20/hour, transitioning to the 2nd shift with a pay of $21/hour including shift differential. As a union company, structured raises are provided every three months until you reach two years of tenure, at which point the pay reaches $27.62/hour ($28.62 with the 2nd shift differential).
ResponsibilitiesTimely tumbling, degreasing, cleaning, and de-slugging of parts to specifications.Cleaning, filling, and maintenance of solutions, equipment, and tanks, including minor lubrication.Follow existing tumbling procedures while looking for improvement opportunities to develop new processes.Inventory supplies and inform the supervisor as needed.Efficient processing of multiple jobs and priorities by due dates and dispatch reports.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read calipers and micrometers.Knowledge of blueprint reading, deburring, production, troubleshooting, and grinding.Experience with chemical tumbling and machine operation.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be ITAR Certified.Ability to interpret drawings, follow routers, use shop math, and handheld measuring tools (Calipers, Micrometers).Understanding of tolerances such as +/- .005.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes operating various machines and using tools such as calipers and micrometers. You will work on the 1st shift during training, then transition to the 2nd shift. The facility focuses on maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. The dress code and specific facility conditions will be shared during the onboarding process.
