Position Summary:
Identifies, registers, and maintains a database of patients with malignant and non-malignant tumors, utilizing a tumor registry data system. Participates in the activities of data collection, editing, special studies, projects and follow-up and quality assurance. Assists in the analysis of data and disseminates information at a state and national level within guidelines, ensuring conformity of data.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate's degree preferred. High school or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year previous work experience as a CTR preferred or 1 year experience in a related health care field preferred.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
• CTR certification or CTR certification eligible preferred. Must attain CTR certification within three years of employment as required by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
