Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship?

 

Hatch is seeking a Civil Engineering Student with interest in Underground Structures engineering for a 4 or 8-month internship starting May 2025. Reporting to Tunnels Project Engineers you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga office.

As the successful candidate, you will:

Work as part of a design team, assisting with conceptual, preliminary and detailed design; site inspection; design calculations, report writing.  Coordinate with engineers, designers and related disciplines as required to assist with project deliverables.   Prepare design submissions and other technical documents.

 

You bring to the role:

Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Relevant courses: Civil Structural Geotechnics Utilities Project Management Knowledge of current technical engineering codes and practices. Proficiency in the use of either or:  AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Civil3D  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). Problem solving and analytical skills.

Highly motivated, with a positive attitude Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects. Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges. Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately. Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges. Adapts and embraces change.
