Turbine Engine Technician
**Turbine Engine Technician - $40/hour - Oregon job site** **Job Description** Working in a bench repair and testing environment in the Turbine Engine shop overhauling helicopter engines, the Technician will disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters. The Technician will read and interpret maintenance manuals, clean and inspect engines and engine components for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment. They will replace or repair damaged and worn engine parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment, reassemble, perform tests, and checks as required to confirm engine or engine component serviceability. Documentation of all inspection findings and work performed/corrective actions in the appropriate maintenance records is required. **Responsibilities** + Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify helicopter engine systems and related units. + Read and interpret maintenance manuals. + Clean and inspect engines and engine components for damage and wear. + Replace or repair damaged and worn engine parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment. + Reassemble engines and perform tests to confirm serviceability. + Document all inspection findings and corrective actions in maintenance records. **Essential Skills** + Engine repair + Aircraft maintenance + Troubleshooting + Aircraft engine maintenance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 4+ years of total experience in turbine engine maintenance on any helicopter type + Basic tool knowledge (list attached) + Military or commercial turbine engine maintenance and/or component maintenance training (preferred: Army MOS 15B) + US Person per client ITAR regulation **Why Work Here?** Join a leading heavy-lift helicopter company with opportunities to grow into other roles, join field teams (with A&P), and have a long career and retirement. **Work Environment** Work in the component division of the MRO facility, specifically in the Accessory shop area, repair and test benches.
