Job Description

The Turbine Technician – Field Service provides USA and international Field Service Maintenance and Repair to support PT6A and PT6T Turbine engines and supports PAG Engines facilities as needed.

ResponsibilitiesPerform inspection ground operation, troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of engines and related accessories as installed in customer aircraft, per applicable manufacturer's instructions.Accomplish duties in a professional manner to present a positive image to the customer while providing service that conforms to the manufacturer's approved specifications.Monitor tooling calibrations for any equipment used to perform designated tasks.Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics.Make airworthiness determinations and provide suitable certification for the work performed, including final inspection and release to service of any work accomplished within the Repair Station's capability.Establish and maintain positive and effective contact with customers, brokers, agents, and others to enhance opportunities for new and continuing business development.Remove and replace engines, perform hot sections, and conduct any other engine maintenance or inspections needed.Commonly work on aircraft such as King Air and Twin Otter.Essential SkillsMinimum of five (5) years experience in an aviation maintenance environment, preferably on PT6A/PT6T series turbine engine.Must possess FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments necessary to perform job assignments.Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.High school graduate or higher, with technical Airframe/Powerplant training achieved through graduation trade school or military aircraft maintenance program.Candidates must have a valid passport.Candidates must have their own hand tools.Good communication skills for interfacing with customers, including potential sales discussions.Additional Skills & QualificationsGood computer skills with limited ability in Microsoft Excel and Quantum Control.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to regularly exercise sound judgment.Willing to travel more than 75% to USA and international customer locations to comply with engine hot section inspections, engine removal and installation, troubleshooting engine problems, and repair on site or return to various PAG Engines facilities.Department of Homeland Security proof of employment eligibility verification.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position requires 100% travel ability, typically working five days a week on the road, with the possibility to work from home about five days per month, depending on project schedules. Most work involves scheduled maintenance and inspections, with schedules set 2-3 weeks in advance. About 60% of the work is done in teams, with mechanics traveling to the same locations together. The majority of work is within North and South America, with approximately 40% in Texas and around 5% outside North/South America. All travel expenses are reimbursed. The position involves sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and manual dexterity. Safety glasses, hearing protection, rubber gloves, and other protective equipment are required. Potential hazards include exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.
