Turning Machine Operator

Job Description

Operate a single spindle lathe/CNC Swiss machine, focusing strictly on operation without set-ups. The role involves holding ID and OD dimensions, performing in-process inspections using depth gauges, micrometers, and calipers. Proficiency in documentation, both paper and computer-based, is necessary. This is a production-based position, requiring repetitive tasks, including lifting cylinder heads and occasionally assisting in the grinding area.

ResponsibilitiesOperate single spindle lathe/CNC Swiss machine.Maintain precise ID and OD dimensions.Perform in-process inspections using depth gauges, micrometers, and calipers.Complete necessary documentation accurately.Perform repetitive production tasks.Lift cylinder heads and assist in the grinding area when needed.Essential SkillsProficiency with hand tools.Experience in grinding and general labor.Skilled in production, micrometers, and calipers.CNC operation experience.Fabrication and blueprint reading skills.Machine operation knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work with blueprints is a plus.CNC schooling or an interest in furthering a career in CNC machining is advantageous.Lathe/turning experience is preferred.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
