Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Project Mechanical Engineer III to join the Capital Projects team at Turquoise Ridge mine. The successful candidate will assist and support team members with assigned aspects of mining and heavy industrial infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
Effectively manage progress on designs, cost allocations, scheduling and the execution activities required to complete a project. Work closely with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), Permitting, Asset Management, Reliability, Operations and Technical Services, to research, analyze and provide supporting documents for inclusion in project scopes Work closely with 3rd party design companies and consulting engineers to ensure technical requirements of a project’s scope are fulfilled and coordinated Assist the Environmental (HSE)/Permitting group in obtaining required permits to prevent delays in construction, commissioning, and final handover to the plant Research and provide information for inclusion in project scopes of work and subsequent contracts, procurement orders, required supporting documentation, and performs other duties as assigned Formulate project parameters and scope, and assist in monitoring progress to address constraints Preform other duties as assignedQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or comparable relevant experience in engineering or a related field required Six (8) to Eight (12) years of project planning/management experience required Knowledge of the common project stages and phases (scoping, concept development, prefeasibility, feasibility and execution) required Commitment to safety for self and others as well as embracing environmentally friendly work practices required Basic working knowledge and familiarity of typical technical standards and specifications from ASME, ASTM, NVPA, NETA, etc. required Ability to create and maintain a project schedule (MS Project, Primavera, etc.) Familiarity with construction methods, quality oversight, commissioning and constructability reviews required Contract management experience preferred Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and visualization software and scheduling software required Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Experience with DROM (Design for Reliability, Operability, Maintainability) practices preferred Ability to work Underground preferred Familiar with OR (Operational Readiness) practices and how to apply them preferred Familiar with Business Improvement, Asset Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Reliability Engineering preferred Familiarity with Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) initiatives preferred
