Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Dewatering Technician. The successful candidate will perform maintenance on dewatering pipelines and pumps; weld steel pipe and fabricate; operate boom truck, dozer, forklift and dump trucks as needed.

Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to the Heap Leach Supervisor, the Heap Leach Technician is responsible for the following:

Perform maintenance on dewatering pipelines and pumps; weld steel pipe and fabricate; operate boom truck, dozer, forklift and dump trucks as needed Monitor and maintain the dewatering pumping and discharge facilities which includes, but is not limited to wells, pipelines, flow meters and pressure gauges and responsible for accurate documentation of dewatering data Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience operating and trouble-shooting pumps and piping problems preferred Basic Mechanical skills preferred Welding and fabrication skills required Experience operating equipment including the following: boom truck, dozer, forklift, backhoe, overhead crane, fusion welders and trucks required Ability to walk on uneven ground in all weather conditions required Ability to support work group in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required Demonstrated ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations required Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and provide feedback is required Good written and verbal communication skills required

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

 

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
