Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Fixed Maintenance Superintendent for Turquoise Ridge. The Underground Fixed Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing the fixed maintenance activities within an underground mining environment. The role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance of fixed plant and electrical equipment and infrastructure, including conveyor systems, crushers, hoists, water management, ventilation systems, backfill, shotcrete, electrical substations and distribution, fiber, communication and other essential fixed assets. This position requires a strong focus on safety, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement in maintenance practices.

Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor the underground Fixed Maintenance team, including supervisors, technicians, and planning staff. Ensure the team is properly trained, equipped, and motivated to meet performance objectives. Communicate mine and Company strategies and objectives. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop work schedules, ensuring appropriate resources and staffing levels to meet operational needs. Oversee the execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all fixed plant and electrical infrastructure supporting the underground operation. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of assets and minimize downtime. Oversee major projects, shutdowns, new infrastructure installation and fixed/electrical equipment overhauls. Assist with evaluation of Capital Projects. Ensure all work is performed according to company standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Lead and promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with site safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., MSHA, State and Federal laws). Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments on maintenance practice, job sites and shops. Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out with the highest regard for safety, including lock-out/tag-out/try-out, hazard identification, and permitting. Oversee the development and manage the Fixed Maintenance and Electrical budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and minimizing operational and plant downtime. Track and report on maintenance costs, implementing cost-saving initiatives where possible without compromising safety or quality. Approve requisitions for parts, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-efficient procurement practices. Drive initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Review equipment performance data and maintenance logs to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement. Work closely with engineering, operations, and other departments to implement long-term solutions for improving plant performance. Provide regular updates and reports on maintenance activities, progress, and performance metrics to senior management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and safety, to align maintenance efforts with production goals and operational priorities. Ensure effective communication with other departments, including planning, inventory, and procurement, to meet operational needs. Collaborate with the site Maintenance Engineering function to ensure infrastructure management is aligned with statutory and company engineering standards.Qualifications:
High school diploma Trade certification, AS/AAS or BS education or equivalent combination of experience and education Ten (10) years’ experience in mine, construction or other industrial maintenance in progressively responsible positions Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience supervising and directing people to achieve results Excellent communication and organizational skills required Strong and proven computer skills in Microsoft Office required Ability to work independently to manage multiple complex systems and tasks required Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills requiredWhat We Can Offer You
