The U.S. is our largest region and we want to help our students with immigration and visa support. We are looking for an experienced U.S. immigration professional to help us provide this support for our students.

This is a contractor / part-time position, that can be worked remotely and flexibly. 

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

Advise on U.S. immigration-related matters for students and other clients, especially related to the EB-1, O-1, and E-2 visas Assist with the preparation of application materials for U.S. visas Participate in the design and improvement of Crimson’s U.S. immigration knowledge base and service flows Develop an expert-level understanding of our student client base
Develop case strategies, including researching, drafting, reviewing, counselling clients and triaging initiations
Assess eligibility of foreign nationals for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status
Work to prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies for non-immigrant and immigrant foreign nationals
Draft and prepare letters and legal documents
Conduct research to support client requests and projects
Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support client projects
Partner with the team and Execs to evolve and grow the service  

What skills and experience are required?

Experience completing and submitting EB-1, O-1, and E-2 visa applications Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association
Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (preferred)
Experience working for a large U.S. immigration law firm or at least 3-4 years of legal experience Licensed Arizona lawyer (ideally) You should not serve as a compliance lawyer on more than one other ABS (i.e., you can only be a compliance lawyer for two ABS in total, including ours) Any other compliance lawyer requirements set out in here (refer to (G)(3) (page 16) and FAQs here) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proofread documents, draft fluent prose, and avoid grammatical mistakes Flexibility to increase or reduce time commitment as workload change
