Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and Turkey. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ground Power Generator Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on power generators and assisting with the maintenance of aircraft arresting systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ground power generators to ensure optimal performance.Perform inspections, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions on generators and related equipment.Assist in the maintenance and operational readiness of aircraft arresting systems, including testing and inspection procedures.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with established procedures.Collaborate with other team members to support the smooth functioning of all power generation and aircraft arresting operations.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.Provide technical guidance and training for less experienced personnel as needed.Participate in emergency response actions and support during operational outages.

Basic Qualifications

Turkish Citizen RequiredAll male candidates must have completed military service.High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with power generators or similar equipment.Basic knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and repair processes.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with tasks involving stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and sitting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an aerospace or military environment.Knowledge of aircraft arresting systems and their maintenance procedures.Vocational training in mechanical or electrical engineering.Demonstrated leadership abilities or supervisory experience.Familiarity with aircraft arresting systems or willingness to undergo specialized training.

All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.

All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.

All male candidates must have completed their military service.
