Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer for development, integration, operational/technical support, and sustainment for the Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (TUAS) Product Office (PO). The ideal candidate will provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. These solutions should be imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organizational objectives. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in systems engineering, particularly as applied to software development. This position is located in Huntsville, AL at Redstone Arsenal.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure technical sufficiency of input to trade studies, coordination with stakeholders, and technical input to program documentation, such as contract requirements packages, performance/system specifications, and statements of work.Drive the use of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and compliance with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles.Effectively communicate with TUAS personnel, PM TUAS and PEO functionals and staff, prime contractors and suppliers, user representatives, and Army airworthiness personnel.Establish and monitor cost, schedule, and performance of systems engineering activities across the lifecycle.Prepare and deliver reports and briefings to management describing program status, issues, analyses, findings, results, recommendations, and conclusions as appropriate.Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, identification of risk, development of courses of action, development of mitigations, and development of recommendations during all phases of the systems engineering process and product life cycle.Manage project requirements and technical data package content.Plan and lead project status meetings that include direct interface with the end customer as well as monthly customer reports.Manage personnel of the system engineering team.Implement, model, and simulate design/technical reviews across the TUAS portfolio.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience with aircraft, UAV, UAS, uncrewed systems engineering.Knowledge of military aviation standards such as MIL-STD-882E or MIL-STD-1797A.Experience with the development of systems/sub-systems requirements, systems and software integration, or developmental and operational test planning and execution.Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including tools such as Rhapsody, SysML, Cameo, MagicDraw, and DOORS.Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics (Master's/PhD is a plus).3-10 years of experience with a Master's degree or 5-10 years with a Bachelor's degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Agile development methodology.Experience with uncrewed systems and aviation system development and engineering.Experience with decomposition and trace experience using DOORS and ReqPro on acquisition defense programs.Experience with Mounted Mission Command platform and NOC systems.Work Environment

This position is currently onsite for 2 days weekly. Candidates should be prepared to be onsite 40 hours weekly, pending executive order. The role involves working as a contractor for the government on TUAS and new products for the Army.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
