We have an exciting opportunity for a UAS Systems Integration Engineer to support our Army Engineering Group in San Diego, CA. Under general supervision and with limited review, this position supports the Integration group within Army Aircraft Systems/Project Engineering. The role involves providing technical and project leadership with focus on developing system-level capabilities for unmanned aircraft. Key responsibilities include technical leadership and coordinating efforts across multiple engineering disciplines and collaborating with various departments to accomplish system design, integration, and flight test.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the Army modernization roadmap and multiple modernization projects. Coordinate segments of a project and have frequent inter-organization contact on technical issues.Troubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principlesCoordinate and interface with customers on requirements, document findings, and communicate results to the corresponding engineering groups.Support requirements development by coordinating and/or providing subject matter expert (SME) inputs from various disciplinesSupport System Integration Lab (SIL), Hardware in the Loop Laboratory (HILL), and Flight Test for HW / SW integration. Develop engineering test plans, procedures, and reports for tasks of moderate size / complexity.Apply technical knowledge to support engineering staff in the analysis, investigation and resolution of engineering challenges of moderate scope and complexity.Ability to communicate effectively with other Engineering disciplines, Program Management and subcontractors to ensure project success.May represent the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects. Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
