UAV System Specialist/Writer
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. Under general supervision with limited review, this position is responsible for researching, analyzing, developing and documenting detailed requirements for operator, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, technical specifications, alert bulletins, training materials and other procedures and reports. The selected will reviews document specifications with customers to ensure final documents clearly and effectively communicate technical information and data. They will review product systems, functional specifications and operations, and establishes safety requirements for assigned systems. The person selected for this role will investigate and analyze project requirements and operating problems, and develops recommended solutions to meet company governmental safety and performance standards. **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:** + Researches, analyzes, develops, and documents detailed requirements or operator, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, technical specifications, alert bulletins, training materials and other procedures and reports. + Reads, interprets and analyzes engineering source material such as engineering drawings, software documents, test plans, design specifications/documents, and interviews with technical experts + Analyzes and recommends safety criteria in system procedures and design to control or eliminate hazards. + Develops safety procedures as required to support customer and test/operational requirements. + Investigates and resolves problem areas and participates with engineering, operations and maintenance personnel to document technical solutions. + Participates in the evaluation, selection, application, and/or adaptation of engineering modifications + May serve as the primary contact on contracts and programs. + Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. + Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. + Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating practices and procedures. Equivalent professional engineering/military operations, and/or maintenance experience may be substituted in lieu of education/training + Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree and two or more years of professional engineering/military technical and/or documentation experience.
