Position description The UCLA Music Department invites applications for a part-time lecturer position of woodwind pedagogy for the Music Education Program for Fall quarter of the 2024-25 academic year. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include teaching flute, saxophone, oboe and bassoon as secondary instruments to music education majors and providing them with the pedagogical skills necessary to teach woodwind instruments to elementary, middle and high school students in classroom and ensemble settings. Applicants should have an established reputation as a performer and teacher with expertise in the skills necessary to nurture future music educators. A post-baccalaureate degree is preferred.
