Using longitudinal individual and household surveys conducted in Russia through the end of 2023, we will draw comparisons between the periods before and after the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine: material and subjective well-being, consumption and savings patterns, labor market activity, etc. The objective is to provide a more granular accounting than is available elsewhere of economic activity and well-being in Russia under conditions of wartime sanctions.

RA will assist with data analysis, generate tables and figures for inclusion in policy briefs and articles, conduct searches of relevant secondary literature.
