About Cadia


Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

Who we’re looking for

 

This role is responsible for the safe and productive operation of an Underground Development Loader for the purpose of bogging development cuts and loading of trucks from the Underground Mine. The Development loader Operator may also carry out additional tasks as required (e.g. mine services work, charge-up, bogging, service checks).

Key Responsibilities

 

Promote and maintain a safety culture by compliance with company safety systems, policies, procedures and accountabilities. I.e. FCCCs, JSEA, Prestart inspections, hazcards and audits.Ensure all incidents, near miss and hazards are reported to Shift Supervisor.Undertake specific tasks as directed by the Underground Shift Supervisor.You will also possess the following

 

Proven track record in promoting and managing safety in the workplaceExperience in operating a Development Loader and sound knowledge of underground Metalliferous miningWillingness to take ownership of issues associated with your roleResults orientated with a commitment to delivering planned outcomes consistent with ‘Safe Production’Working at Heights and a Manual C Class Driver's License is requiredBUEL desirable
