**Job Responsibilities:**
UI/UX Design & Front-End Development
+ Lead the full design lifecycle for RIT Certified’s website, LMS, and other digital applications, including site mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and interface design.
+ Own front-end development, ensuring platforms are intuitive, responsive, accessible, and aligned with design vision.
+ Conduct regular user testing to gather insights, applying data-driven improvements to optimize platform functionality and user experience.
+ Drive continuous improvement by staying current with design trends, user behavior, and emerging technologies.
+ Influence cross-functional teams, advocating for customer-centered design and ensuring alignment with RIT Certified’s strategic goals.
+ Mentor and guide student and contract designers, fostering best practices in UI/UX design and front-end development.
Visual Design for Educational Content
+ Lead the development of high-impact visual assets, including animations, motion graphics, 3D models, and infographics, to create immersive, interactive learning experiences.
+ Collaborate closely with instructional designers and academic teams to ensure visual designs align with pedagogical goals, enhancing learning outcomes and engagement across RIT Certified programs.
+ Ensure all visual content is optimized for digital delivery across various devices and platforms, maintaining performance, accessibility, and design consistency.
+ Drive innovation in educational design, leveraging cutting-edge tools and techniques to transform complex concepts into visually compelling and learner-friendly content.
+ Contribute to the overall content strategy, ensuring visual assets reflect RIT Certified’s vision for learner-centric, industry-driven education while supporting broader strategic goals.
Marketing Design
+ Lead the creation of cohesive and impactful visuals for marketing campaigns, including social media graphics, digital ads, email campaigns, and print collateral, ensuring consistent branding across all channels.
+ Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop innovative and creative design strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive engagement.
+ Ensure all marketing visuals align with RIT Certified’s brand identity, maintaining a unified and compelling presence across digital and print platforms.
+ Adapt designs for various platforms, ensuring that assets perform optimally across social media, email, web, and physical formats, while maintaining design quality and clarity.
+ Contribute to campaign planning and execution, offering creative input and thought leadership to attract new learners, partners, and community stakeholders, advancing RIT Certified’s mission and reach.
User Testing & Continuous Improvement
+ Lead user research and A/B testing to gather actionable insights and feedback, ensuring all digital platforms and visual assets evolve to meet user needs and preferences.
+ Utilize analytics and performance data to inform design decisions, driving improvements in user satisfaction, engagement, and overall experience.
+ Champion a culture of continuous improvement, applying iterative design processes to refine and enhance the functionality and visual appeal of all digital assets.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user feedback into actionable design updates that align with RIT Certified’s strategic goals and enhance the overall user experience.
+ Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating best practices in user research, testing methodologies, and analytics into the design lifecycle to maintain cutting-edge, user-centered digital experiences.
Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, academic, and technical teams, to ensure all designs are strategically aligned with RIT Certified’s goals and vision.
+ Actively contribute to team brainstorming sessions and design reviews, fostering a creative, innovative, and solutions-focused work environment that drives forward-thinking design strategies. Serve as a design thought leader, ensuring that design decisions support broader organizational objectives, enhance the user experience, and elevate brand consistency.
+ Facilitate cross-departmental communication, aligning design efforts with the needs of learners, employers, and community partners to ensure that all creative outputs are impactful and purpose-driven.
+ Champion a collaborative, design-centric culture, encouraging innovation and pushing creative boundaries to keep RIT Certified at the forefront of industry-driven education.

**Required Qualifications:**
Experience
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, visual design, and front-end development, with a proven track record of delivering user-centered digital experiences.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience designing for a range of platforms, including websites, mobile applications, and learning management systems.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience with motion graphics, video editing, and 3D animation.
Skills
+ UI/UX Design: Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and creating user flows using tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch. Expertise in SEO and accessibility best practices.
+ Front-End Development: Proficiency in Webflow, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
+ Visual Design: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), motion graphics, video editing, 3D animation, and 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender or Cinema 4D).
+ User Testing & Analytics: Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to inform design decisions. Expertise in A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques.
+ Creative Problem Solving: Ability to translate complex ideas into intuitive, engaging user experiences and visual designs.

**Job Summary:**
The UI/UX and Visual Design Specialist reports to the Chief Learning Experience Officer of RIT Certified, who also leads the Creative and Brand unit. This unit is responsible for all creative direction and design execution across RIT Certified, including developing captivating marketing collateral, producing immersive videos and motion graphics, and creating intuitive UI/UX interfaces for the website, LMS, and other platforms. Additionally, the unit focuses on enhancing the customer experience by designing user journeys and lead-to-conversion strategies that engage and inspire, while also implementing cutting-edge technology and processes to boost quality and efficiency, ensuring RIT Certified remains a leader in innovative education solutions.
The UI/UX and Visual Design Specialist role seamlessly integrates UI/UX design, visual design, and front-end development, shaping RIT Certified’s digital presence and visual identity to deliver exceptional user experiences across platforms while producing visually engaging content that enhances both learning and marketing efforts.
On the UI/UX side, the designer will develop and maintain RIT Certified’s website, learning management system (LMS), and other digital applications. Their work ensures that every platform is not just functional but intuitive, customer-centric, and enjoyable to use. Through continuous user feedback and data-driven insights, the designer will adapt these platforms to stay ahead of shifting needs and trends, focusing on elevating the customer experience. This role leads the full design process, including site mapping, wireframing, prototyping, interface design, and front-end development, ensuring that all platforms are responsive and accessible. The focus on continuous improvement, backed by testing and analytics, ensures that the user experience evolves while remaining aligned with RIT Certified’s strategic objectives.
On the visual design front, this role goes beyond the conventional. The designer will create compelling visual assets such as animations, motion graphics, 3D models, and infographics, transforming educational content into immersive, interactive experiences. They will also produce compelling marketing visuals for social media, ads, and print, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence.
