As a UI/UX designer, you will be responsible for guiding government clients through our Design Intelligence™ framework, incorporating human-centered methods to solve complex user experience challenges. You will plan and execute UX initiatives from discovery through interface design; research, prototyping, iteration, visual design, user, usability, and accessibility testing. You will serve as the voice of the customer and make sure their needs are considered and met within a proposed solution.

Participation in all aspects of the design process to understand the problem we are trying to solve, conduct user interviews, uncover pain points and opportunities, and create a compelling experience visionUnderstand the relevance of and how artifacts like personas, journey maps, user flows, stakeholder maps, experience maps, and ecosystems fit into crafting the user experienceConduct user research and effectively translate user needs into actionable strategyDesign intuitive and elegant digital solutions supported through testing and iterative designUnderstand and contribute to branding and design librariesDrive adoptability and usability of interfaces and systems we developEnsure all deliverables across a variety of projects are produced at the highest quality QualificationsRequired:
Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance4+ years of professional UX/UI design experience creating viable solutions for multi-platform digital products, mobile, and responsive web designThorough knowledge and demonstrated experience applying UX/UI methods and tools, including low and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and usability testingUnderstand how to integrate user research with technology in an agile environmentUI design skills and familiarity with design systemsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, Axure, and/or other prototyping toolsDesire to keep pace with ever-changing industry tools and best practices with the ability to make recommendations as needed for the best outcomeExperience working in multi-disciplinary groups, including service designers, technologists, product managers, and engineersA natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with strong analytical skillsA collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skillsDemonstrate self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quicklyExperience working in a project-based environmentPreferred:
Degree or equivalent experience in HCD, HCI, and/or UX designExperience working on a cross-functional Salesforce implementation team is desired but not requiredAbout steampunk
About Steampunk
Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $140,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
