UI/UX Designer

Fortinet is currently looking for an Intermediate UX/UI Designer to join our Product Management team for a full-time position. This individual will be responsible for working with PMs to improve the user experience of Fortinet applications continually.  

Also, you will create mock-ups and graphics for various product design items including User Interface elements, Web and Marketing materials. 

You demonstrate solid UX skills and interaction patterns while creating forward-thinking scenarios-driven designs and meeting business goals. 

Job Responsibilities 

Ability to create designs of various fidelity from highly polished design prototypes, mockups, and other communication artifacts Work closely and constructively with product management, visual designers, and engineers to iterate and deliver flawlessly Find new ways to improve product usability Monitor and respond to application feedback and feature requests  Develop expert-level knowledge of both Fortinet and competitor products, and leverage that to simplify application design 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Interest in or hands-on Computer Networks & Cyber Security. Resume must include a link to an impressive portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications

3 - 5 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally with a few years of platform experience Be creative, analytical, and curious in resolving complex UI issues  Deep understanding of the principles of UX and visual design, as well as standard design tools. Extensive experience in utilizing user-centered design process, as well as conducting user research, usability testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and accessibility concerns. Experience with modern design & prototyping software (such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma)  Ability to quickly learn new tools and adapt to changing environments  Solid communication skills and good team player

Educational Requirements 

A bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, or equivalent experience

 

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $75,000 - $105,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
