Finance Assistant

 

We are seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to join our Business Advisors team (MBA Team). In this role, you will support our team by helping with financial and operational tasks related to financial applications and metrics. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly.

 

As a Finance Assistant, you will be part of a collaborative Finance team led by the Lead Finance Manager. This is an in-house role where you will learn how to support our Global Financial system, which is powered by SAP®.

 

The Opportunity

 

In this role, you will help our MBA teams use our financial system and its processes to manage their projects with EY’s external clients. Your tasks will include providing support to project teams through different communication channels, like online chat and phone, while working closely with your team lead.

 

As a member of the Market Finance Business Advisory team, you will help keep our financial management standards high and be a helpful resource for your colleagues.

Your Key Responsibilities

 

Provide guidance on local policies and best practices. Assist in training client-facing teams on our financial system Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and supporting team members Review open items in our ticketing system, assist with scheduling team meetings and help with prioritize follow-up activities Support invoicing, help with managing engagement metrics, and handle other financial transactions as instructed by your team leader

 

Spend scheduled time assisting client servers, which includes activities such as:

 

Reviewing budgets in our financial system and helping staff create invoicing. Advising on selecting the correct client entity for data quality Running report from our financial system under supervision from your team leader

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

 

Completed the Irish Leaving Certificate Examination or similar exam with some junior office/Retail experience Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships A proficiency in IT skills – Word and Excel (additional training will be provided) A desire to adapt to a dynamic and busy work environment with a career in Finance
