This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW and The New School. More information about this agreement and SENS-UAW may be found on the Labor Relations website. The pay rate is $28.08/hr.

Responsibilities: Tutor undergraduate and graduate students in software programs you are proficient in, such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, AfterEffects, AutoCAD, Rhino, V-Ray, Revit, SketchUp, Blender, Figma, TouchDesigner, CLO3D, etc. Tutor undergraduate and graduate students in various coding languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Unity, Arduino, and other languages that you are fluent in. Work with students of varying skill levels from demonstrating the basics to assisting with complex problems and a range of issues in between. Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students’ diverse cultures, language skills, and experiences. Complete administrative tasks, such as writing brief descriptions of each session and emailing a brief summary of daily attendance. Other opportunities include leading in-class workshops and/or specialized ULC workshops. Tutoring will be hybrid, with both virtual and in-person shifts.


Work Mode: HybridSalary: $28.08/hr Minimum Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at The New School and have a graduation date of Spring 2026 or later Excellent communication skills Demonstrated reliability and punctuality Able to commit to at least 6 tutoring hours per week (schedule will start small in Spring 2025 and grow in upcoming semesters) Willingness to tutor in person 25-50% of the time
