What You Will Do:

The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for candidates that are familiar in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), with a focus on Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and who will work with internal P&W business units, suppliers and partners to develop and continuously improve NDT systems. As a member of the Q&PE NDT team, you will provide quality engineering support to our Ultrasonic method activities, specifically longitudinal and shear wave immersion disk inspection.

Utilization of UG or modeling software to layout designs for ultrasonic scan coverage.Identification and execution of scanning process improvements and cycle time reductions.Provide support to Sonic L3 and other method inspectors. Ability to work with several IPT’s to provide sonic shape production feasibility guidance.Communicate with team leadership and management on status and risks to program schedule and coverage.Create part specific inspection sheets to insure maximum repeatable coverage of the region of interest is accomplished.Participate in weekly status meetings to upper management, CIPT’s and executives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience in the design and fabrication of rotors, disks, & hubs.Understanding NDT Sonic process and procedures to inspect rotors, disks & hubs.Proficiency in Teamcenter, Unigraphics NX.Experience with MS Office products.Ability to obtain security clearance or hold Active US Government SECRET clearance.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
