Ultrasound Sonographer Technologist

Summary

Performs diagnostic ultrasound/vascular examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.  Performs routine and specific duties on a schedule or as dictated by the work load.  Assists in evaluation, coordinating, implementing and maintaining all new and existing ultrasound scanning policies and procedures.  Reports equipment problems to the Director of Imaging and contacts the service provider for prompt repairs.  Establishes and maintains good working relationships with the nursing staff and physicians.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associate degree in Radiological Sciences or certificate from an AMA approved school.  Registered by one or more of the following, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARDMS, or a Registered Vascular Technologist”. Preferred Experience: 2 years prior experience in diagnostic examinations or other imaging specialties. Certifications Required: CPR certification.
