Overview

Sonographer

As a Sonographer you will perform both General and Vascular Ultrasound procedures with varying degrees of complexity.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate extensive knowledge of Sonography imaging techniques to assist the Radiologist in
successfully diagnosing and treating the patient's condition. Performs both General and Vascular
Ultrasound procedures with varying degrees of complexity.

Responsibilities
Produces quality ultrasound images General, OB/GYN, and Vascular procedures.Assess patient's condition/information and determine the appropriateness of the procedures to be performedEvaluate patients for the presence or absence, severity and location of peripheral vascular
disease by selecting the most effective procedure(s) from an array of anatomic,
hemodynamic and physiologic procedures including duplex scanning, plethysmography,
doppler ultrasound, pressure measurements and active or passive hyperemic challenge.Record test results and report the results to the physician upon completion of testing.
Document and prepare patient records for review and interpretation by physicianMay rotate shifts or be in an “on call” status May rotate between different campuses within Brazos Valley
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience 

Completion of an accredited Sonography program

Required Licensure and Certifications

Sonography Certification by ARRT or ARDMSBLS 

Preferred Education:

Associates Degree, Allied Health or Radiologic Technology
