Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an Ultrasound Tech.
As an Ultrasound Tech at MercyOne, you will perform Ultrasound exams including OB/Gyn, abdominal, breast and small parts on a scheduled or emergent basis. Assists Radiologist as requested when needed. Ages of patients served range in age from newborn to geriatric.
+ Operates 2D, M-mode, and Doppler ultrasound unit with appropriate transducers utilized to perform and adequately ascertain the location of specific organs, with demonstration on film with recordings of appropriate calculations for measurements.
+ Assists physician(s) and/or radiologist(s) in specialized procedures.
+ Utilizes critical thinking in daily and emergent assessment of proper protocols.
+ Assesses each patient for proper prep/scanning procedure for each ordered exam.
+ Follows the ARDMS rules and regulations.
**Schedule:**
+ Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
**General Requirements:**
+ Must be board eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiology Technologist.
+ Must be certified as a RDMS or ARRT in ABD, OB/GYN, Breast and RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) within a time frame determined by the hiring manager and in accordance with the American College of Radiology.
+ Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
+ Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
**Education:**
+ Completion of associate degree in area of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
