If not registered, just be board-eligible and pass sonography boards (abdomen and OB) within one year of hire. + Must be ARDMS registered in vascular technology or obtain within 12 months of hire. + Prefer prior sonography experience. + Competencies, and Aptitudes: + Must have advanced knowledge of radiation safety standards. + Must be certified in Basic Life Support. + Must be able to provide direction to and supervision of other employees. + Must have minimum typing skills. + Must have a high degree of independent decision-making ability. + Must be able to work well with patients, visitors, and staff and possess good communication skills. + Must have knowledge of sterile technique. + Must be able to perform basic math. + Possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests in a helpful, courteous manner. + Must be competent to provide care within assigned unit to the population described in the unit's description of services. **MercyOne Eastern Iowa** provides exceptional, personalized care to Dubuque, Dyersville, Elkader, Clinton and surrounding areas providing more than 300 licensed beds.
