Job Overview:

Performs ultrasound exams at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative. Performs formal and informal instruction when necessary, particularly to students. Maintain a high level of continuing education. Participate in "call".

Qualifications:

Required:

High School GraduateCompletion of an approved Ultrasound program that meets the requirements set by the RDMS0-1 years of experience as a staff technologist

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Must be certified by the RDMS or eligible to become certified within six months of employment

Scheduling Requirements:

Day shift with nights and weekends coveragePer Diem

Essential Functions:

Perform General and Vascular UltrasoundExplains all procedures to patientsAssist Radiologists and Surgeons, as neededReview charts, scripts and referrals and orders with all correct pertinent informationOrder supplies, as neededRun s Open orders and Charges out incomplete exams daily
