Job Overview:
Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations
Qualifications:
Required:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound School. ARDMS Certification required. Must be CPR certified.Preferred:
Minimum three years experience in a hospital setting performing the following preferred: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Thyroid, Vascular, Pediatric, Biopsies and Interventional Procedures. RVTEssential Functions:
Screen requisitions to ensure proper exams are being ordered and proper prep is called to the Nurse taking care of the patient.
Ensure proper work flow is being maintained.
Maintain positive relationship between Radiologist and sonographers.
Assist Lead Technologist and Supervisor in the day to day operation.
Primary person ensuring proper steps are taken in the documentation process of ultrasound exams (tracking/dictation of exam in timely manner).
Initiate service calls and documents.
Train fellow sonographers and students with complex and/or new techniques.
