The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for providing services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images. In addition, this role adheres to standards of practice and patient care, supplies, and equipment and for coordinating team work with all members of the health care team.
Ultrasound Technologist OverviewKey responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely mannerEnsures accurate film identification on all images and completes computer functions including appropriate edits, status changes, charges, logging, film marking, and all other technologist workflow expectations to ensure proper follow-upAccurately operates and optimizes use of equipment and understands structure visualized and its significance while positioning patients to achieve quality diagnostic images according to department protocolDocuments initial and ongoing data, responses/results or interventions and equipment concerns and/or malfunctions on a service slipDelivers care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served (If applicable)Minimum Qualifications:Licensed and graduate of an accredited Ultrasound programTwo year degree in Ultrasonography (Diagnostic Medical Sonography)ARDMS: Abdominal and RVTOne to two years of experience as an Ultrasound TechnicianLocation: 909 Fulton St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455
