Departmental Overview NRHS Imaging Services is a full-service Radiology department performing over 200,000 studies each year, including screening exams, diagnostic testing, and interventional procedures. We operate at 2 hospital-based locations, 2 free-standing Emergency Departments/Outpatient Centers, and two additional outpatient specialty locations. We serve four Emergency Departments, a wide variety of Inpatient units, and hundreds of outpatients throughout the day. This is an especially exciting time for our department as we move toward the unification of our primary care hospitals with a new and improved department and brand new state-of-the-art equipment for all modalities. We are looking for motivated technologists who want to be a part of a growing team with the opportunity to expand their horizons and knowledge base along the way. Job Summary Job Summary · Accesses the patient's condition · Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures · Assists physicians with procedures · Assists in the maintenance of patient ultrasound exam information. · Assists in maintaining the unit in working order Education Associates degree in Ultrasound or equivalent as defined by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Experience None. One year of experience preferred. Licensure/Certification American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or registry eligible. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) registered or registry eligible. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) registered or registry eligible. Must obtain Cardiac or Vascular registry within 1 year of hiring, both preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment Qualifications Education & Certification Completion of an accredited 2 or 4 year program in Sonography accredited by either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Registered Technologist in Ultrasound with the ARRT or ARDMS. Breast certification preferred but not required. Ongoing Education Requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment (provided by NRHS). Maintenance of Registered Technologist status throughout employment with CMEs as required by the accrediting body. Completion of annual training as provided by NRHS. Compensation $40/hr Schedule Regular Fridays, additional days vary as needed Work Shift Varies Position Type PRN
