ChristianaCare's Ultrasound Department at Union Hospital is currently recruiting for a Ful Time Ultrasound Technologist II / Vascular to work at Union Hospital, day shift, call, and some weekend rotation.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary responsibility involves all phases of noninvasive peripheral vascular testing and perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures at the request of physicians to aid in the diagnoses of disease or related abnormalities. 

The work is performed on hospital patients and outpatients in accordance with established procedures and protocols of the department under the direct supervision of the interpreting physician. 

The technologist is responsible for all non-invasive vascular procedures in the vascular laboratory. 

The technologist must show significant, independent judgment in performing all procedure and be able to deal with difficult or unusual situations. 

Must be able to evaluate studies for technical quality and correlate with other modalities when appropriate.

Responsible for direct supervision of the technical and clerical staff at locations where there is no immediate supervisor/manager.

Responsible for customer relations and solution of urgent problems at off-site and on-campus locations where there is no immediate supervisor/manager.

Control workflow related to demand and handle patient care priorities.

Job Requirements:

3 years’ experience as a staff technologist

Two years JRC accredited ultrasound technology program is required

ARDMS Registered

RVT Registered or willing to get it within a specified time

Certification in CPR

Flexibility in hours is required

Flexibility in duties is required
