studies and interventional procedures utilizing an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patientrsquos individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and careResponsibilitiesPerforms ultrasound diagnostic procedures by positioning patients selecting appropriate transducers and correct scanning sequences to produce an accurate image in order to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatmentProvides and ensures optimal technical quality and accuracy of all Ultrasound examinations according to the American College of Radiology ACR standards FDA quality control requirements Assembles sterile trays and assumes scrub duties as necessaryAccurately inputs data into electronic medical record RIS and PACS to capture necessary information regarding exams supply charges resource allocations as well as all relevant clinical information Transfers correctly annotated images into PACSOrganizes processed images measurements calculations and other data in a logical sequence for presentation to the physician for interpretation Consults with physicians as requested regarding the quality of images and data obtainedObtains all relevant patient information and assesses physicians order andor requisition for completeness by reviewing the clinical information pertinent laboratory results and patients chart
