Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.** Ideal candidate would be in the surrounding area of Spencer and Spirit Lake with a 30 minute on-call response time for both Spencer Hospital and Lakes Regional Hospital. This position is staff by Spencer Hospital and will share call duties with Lakes Regional. **Responsibilities:** + Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision, according to the medical direction of the radiologist + Must provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting films + The sonographer will adopt the missions of the Hospital and Radiology Department + Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics + Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure **Requirements:** + Graduate from an approved school of Medical Sonography + American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligible + Registered sonographer with ARDMS **Schedule:** + PRN availability for 9 hour variable day shifts - must be flexible + Scheduled on-call rotation for weekend nights and weekends + Rotating on-call holidays + The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department **Spencer Hospital offers competitive wages, affordable insurance, IPERS retirement, in-house education, paid time off, family gym membership and so much more!** **Please contact Spencer Hospital Human Resources for any questions at 712.264.6205 or email** **hr@spencerhospital.org** **.** **Learn more about Spencer Hospital:** **spencerhospital.org** At Avera, the way you are treated as an employee translates into the compassionate care you deliver to patients and team members.
