Ultrasound Technologist - Weekends - Manhattan Beach

In this role, you will: + Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served + Obtain, evaluate, and use information from the patient requisition, medical records, referring physician and correlate with acquired images. + Use cognitive sonographic skills, to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology. + Use independent judgment to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and our interpreting physicians. + Extend courtesy to our patients, family members, visitors, and co-workers through our 'World Class Practices' Service Standards This position will support the South Bay Region, primarily in the Manhattan Beach Imaging Center. The South Bay Region is currently made up of UCLA Health Manhattan Beach Imaging and Interventional Center, Palos Verdes Imaging and Interventional Center, UCLA Health Redondo Beach Primary Specialty Clinic, UCLA Health Torrance / Lomital Primary Specialty Center and our partnership with Martin Luther King Hospital. This position participates in on-call and holiday schedules, prepared by the manager, that supports one of the medical centers in the UCLA Health system. Additionally, participation in rotating shifts is required, as needed. Staff Sonographer: * One to two years of experience within the hospital / acute care setting * Must maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYN * Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferred * Salary Range: $55.94 - $73.81 Hourly Senior Sonographer (Advancement into Senior Sonographer job classification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health): * Minimum of four years of prior experience within the hospital / acute care setting * Must maintain Active RDMS certification in three specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVT * Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric and Vascular Sonography.
