Deliver occupational therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

Performs direct occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with generally accepted occupational therapy standards, Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, code of ethics, and departmental policies and procedures. Records patient evaluations, re-evaluations and care provided in the medical record, in accordance with departmental documentation standards. Participates in performance improvement activities and suggests areas for improvement to colleagues in a tactful and considerate manner. Proposes performance improvement topics and alternate treatment techniques to improve occupational therapy services.Assumes responsibility to resolve or report clinical and operational issues to department leadership for resolution, in order to assure high quality care, and efficient departmental operations.Demonstrates interdisciplinary, safe, patient-centered care and delivers excellent customer service.

The UMSJ Outpatient Rehabilitation Institute is located on the campus the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson. We are a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic that includes Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology. Our staff work as a team in this unregulated outpatient office with a wonderful working environment. We offer free parking and a flexible schedule. We are part of the University of Maryland Rehab Network.
