Undergraduate Advisor - CCET & FCB

Employment Parameters: Professional staff; full-time, 12-months

 The Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology and the Foster College of Business at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, invites applications for an Undergraduate Student Academic Advisor. The qualified applicant will demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds, abilities, outlooks, ages, and nationalities while demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities to function autonomously as an academic advisor for relevant programs.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities include: 

Advise students about content and structure of engineering programs including graduation and/or transfer requirements for a particular program of study.Assist students in developing educational goals, course planning, and registration processes; track academic progress of students through a monitoring process.Participate in on and off campus events promoting Bradley University, and assist with orientation programs.Work with students on career and personal counseling needs.Use computer-based systems proficiently to maintain administrative documents and confidential student records.Provide recommendations for continuous improvement for academic advising purposes.Participate in individual and team professional development and remain current with technology.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.Candidates must be able to work legally in the United States. No relocation package or visa sponsorship is available.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant work experience in academic advisement, or another relevant area of Higher Education. 

Must have the mental and physical capability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a typical office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt or dust. Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
