**About The Role** The Underwriting & Claims Administrator is primarily responsible for processing applications and following the underwriting process through to completion with the insurance carrier. This position requires exceptional time management skills and the ability to multi-task. In addition, attention to detail and a high level of oral and written communication are required. This role is a Full Time Temporary Position (3 month contract). **What You’ll Do** + Review insurance applications and paperwork and send to the client(s) for signing + Processing insurance applications and paperwork and hand off to the appropriate insurance carrier with clear instructions + Ordering medical requirements + Follow up with clients for any necessary additional information + Following up with insurance companies + Handle questions and concerns of the clients via email and phone + Work with the Lead Advisors and Assistants when needed + Maintaining our CRM to ensure client information is detailed and accurate + Processing policy changes + Processing investment changes + Assist with any life, disability, and critical illness claims **Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success** + LLQP is required or ability to maintain in short order + Typically, 2+ years of proven experience in living benefits and permanent life insurance + Experience in a fast-paced insurance environment where high attention to detail is critical + Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple/competing tasks + Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills + Excellent computer skills and a high proficiency with a variety of computer software programs + Positive self-starter who can work successfully in a small team environment **Elevate Your Career with HUB International** Choosing HUB International means aligning your career with the premier insurance brokerage in Canada and the fifth-largest global insurance and employee benefits broker worldwide.
