About the role:
As an UW Assistant you will directly report to the Head of Surety Iberia based in Madrid and you will perform administrative and underwriting tasks specific for the Surety UW team in Spain and Portugal.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in managing the surety portfolio in Iberia (issuance, endorsements, renewals, adjustments, cancellations of surety bonds)
Perform credit risk analysis & underwriting assessment of customers and prospects
Processing of requests from customers, brokers, underwriters and other departments
Deal with communication and correspondence of external parties (customers, fronting partners, insurance providers, brokers)
Maintaining the Surety database and IT system up-to-date
Filing documentation
Apply and follow the internal processes and controls in place
Work closely with TM HCC underwriting & admin teams based in different locations in Europe and cooperate with other TM HCC internal departments
Skills And Competencies Required:
Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration, specialised in finance
Possess good analytical, numerical and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines and willingness to deliver
Intellectual curiosity
Resourceful hard worker, confidence in working autonomously and with proactivity
Team player
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Expert level)
Fluent proficiency in English and Spanish
Skills And Competencies Preferred:
Experience in credit/ financial analysis of companies
Master Degree in Finance
Fluent/professional proficiency in Portuguese
