How you will create an impact
+ Drive the marine business by achieving profitable growth including sales, underwriting, operations, & overall portfolio management.
+ Develop strategic plans by identifying growth opportunities, new business segments, new product opportunities to support growth objectives.
+ Manage and grow distribution channels by strengthening existing relationships, develop new producers that will help drive our financial objectives.
+ Implement strategies for continuous renewal preservation, operational efficiency, and compliance.
+ Maintain and develop key relationships with major clients.
+ Manage, mentor and develop the team to be production underwriters that will meet their performance objectives.
+ Financial forecasting and Monthly Business reviews with senior leadership.
+ Achievement of growth, profitability and expense management objectives.
+ Maintain active target / prospecting listings.
+ Adherence to all underwriting guidelines, standards and practices.
What we’re looking for:
+ Preferably a University Degree or equivalent.
+ A minimum 7 years underwriting or relevant market exposure and experience as a management position.
+ Experienced in Marine underwriting with particular expertise in Marine Cargo and Marine Liability.
+ Must be confident and have strong desire to lead and grow the business.
+ Good marketing skills.
+ Able to communicate effectively and work with different levels in the organization.
+ Good relationship/ interpersonal skills.
+ Strong Leadership skills.
+ Strong local market and industry knowledge with international experience.
