Description + Manage underwriters to ensure mortgage loans are underwritten following proper guidelines + Ensure team members are fully trained and current on company’s philosophy and policies/procedures + Manage and review day-to-day tasks escalated by team + Conducts underwriting review process in a manner designed to minimize the company's risk while employing problem resolution techniques in approving loans + Responsible for the training, coaching and supervision of all underwriters within the associated interpretation and application of all company overlays and agency requirements + Evaluate the structure of the Underwriting team and plan for continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness + Provide a consistent approach to new hire training of underwriters and peer managers Skills FHA guidelines, risk assessment, USDA loans, Underwriting, management skills, Encompass, DE underwriter Additional Skills & Qualifications 10 years RECENT experience with FHA, VA and USDA loans DE & SAR designation preferred Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
