Overview: Job Title: Unified Capabilities (UC) Controller Job Location: Scott AFB, IL Security Clearance: Secret Requisition Type:Funded Due to the nature of the work and US Government required, US Citizenship is required. Job Responsibilities: Trace Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Unified Capabilities Controller who will support DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency), which acts as the provider of GIG/DISN (Defense Information System Network) to the DoD and other national security organizations. In this position, you’ll support the UC Desk within DISA’s 24x7 Network Operations Center at Scott AFB, IL. Duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to: + Monitoring UC capabilities and services (legacy & current): EVoIP, SBU Voice, ECVoIP, VoSIP, DECTK, VISP, GVS, as well as DSN and DRSN. + Identifying and recommending solutions for smooth continuing operation of network as capacity needs change. + Making corrections to network configurations to ensure efficient operation. + Monitoring and documenting network and traffic analysis. + Partnering with the engineering team to provide specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments. + Rotating shift work to include nights and weekends is required. Minimum Qualifications: + An active Secret clearance + At least two (2) years of relevant technical experience + Certification:COMPTIA Security+CE is required ) + General understanding of transport and IP network topologies + Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, VoIP, VoSIP, DSN/DRSN, VTC, GVS + Competency in one or more: CISCO, Avaya, Nortel, ACME Packet, Oracle, Palo Alto, Juniper + Experience in at least one of the following crypto devices: KG-250, KG-175, KIV-7, KIV-19 + Ability to troubleshoot, configure, and restore services across multiple platforms + Shift work, including nights & weekends Education: + High School Diploma.
