Overview Union 1109 – Technician II Communication Technician II (Tech 2): Job requirements are to be able to perform site preparation and finishing, pulling and termination of cable, installation of station apparatus and operational tests for all PBX and all key system products. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, floor plans and schematics, as necessary to perform job duties. Responsible for the integrity of cable and wire from the MDF to the station apparatus.   Additionally, the position must be able to: completely install all PBXs,  digital trunking, moves, adds, and changes (MAC)  on  PBXs and auxiliary processor systems such voice mail, ACDs and wireless products, peripheral equipment  which  runs  off  of  ports  such  as  but  not limited  to: modems,  TTYs etc. Technicians are expected to stay abreast of current systems and applications offered by the manufacturer, train on supported system (on the job training (“OJT”), digital, formal), and obtain basic certifications on supported products. Technician required to provide coverage for peers for vacation, sick, disability, personal time. must be able to: completely install as well as service and perform moves, adds and changes on all products/systems and applications. e.g., IVR, CCR, LAN/WAN, Network Integration, carrier protocols etc. in addition to peripheral systems and applications by manufacturers other than NEC.  In addition to Technician, I support requirements, Technician II is expected to independently support systems and applications, expand training (OJT, digital, formal) to cover more supported products and maintain existing certifications.  Obtain additional certifications relevant supported products. Technician required to provide coverage for peers for vacation, sick, disability, personal time.  Additional Information

Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Pay Range

$38.00-$42.00/hour

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
