Union Building Technician

1st shift (7:00am – 3:00pm)

What this job involves:

As a Building Technician at JLL, you'll be responsible for the ongoing preventive maintenance and repair of facility systems and equipment. You'll work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems, ensuring optimal performance and addressing client needs. This role requires a blend of technical skills, safety awareness, and customer service orientation.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various facility systems and equipmentConducting facility inspections and reporting on conditions affecting client operationsCarrying out general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures and repairing office furnitureAssisting the operations team with building and equipment maintenanceMoving office furniture, machinery, and equipment as neededReplacing lighting and ballastsMaintaining HVAC systems, including cleaning coils and changing filters and beltsCompleting hazard assessments and adhering to safety proceduresUtilizing CMMS systems like 360 Facility to track and update work orders

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

Minimum five (5) years of recent experience in facility systems operation and maintenanceValid state driver's licenseProficiency in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsKnowledge of safety procedures and hazardous materials handlingAbility to use CMMS systems for work order management

Preferred:

Experience with office furniture systems repairFamiliarity with HVAC maintenance proceduresKnowledge of state and local building codes and ordinancesStrong problem solving and communication skills

 

Estimated total compensation for this position:

90,916.00 – 90,916.80 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
