**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Union Carpenter, you’ll perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair to various structures throughout a designated commercial facility.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of the building’s structure and grounds.
+ Perform assigned repairs and emergency preventative maintenance. Complete maintenance repair records as required.
+ Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, glass, siding, scaffolding or facia.
+ Review assigned work orders and estimate time, materials, equipment, and tools to complete the repair. Order necessary materials and supplies as needed.
+ Review construction documents such as drawings, sketches, specifications, and maintenance logs.
+ Collaborate with employees, end users, and partners concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
+ Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
+ Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
+ Ensure the personal safety and safety of those who are affected by your work.
+ Participate in all HSE-related programs, activities, and training as required. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, assessment, etc.
+ Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
+ Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
+ Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
+ Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
