JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, FF&E furniture, fire & life safety, and control systems for the facility in order to keep the facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
Maintenance of the equipment will include cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, calibrating, and changing of parts to maintain the systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
Analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required.
SAFETY:
Record readings and adjust where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
IUOE 399 Operating Engineer membership card holder in good standing.
Minimum two years of trade(s) schooling in electrical, plumbing, drywall finishing, painting, carpentry, and refrigeration & HVAC or comparable previous work experience a plus.
Universal CFC certification a plus.
Working knowledge of computer applications (Word & Excel) and maintenance workorder systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lay as required to access equipment and/or components for extended periods of time.
Ability to work exposed to heat, sunlight, rain, cold, daylight & nighttime hours as required.
