Union Payroll
Job Title: Union PayrollJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Union Payroll professional to work closely with on-site Project Managers ensuring accurate union hours and timely submission of timesheets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, summarizing, and reviewing timesheets daily, entering timesheets, verifying entered hours, and updating union classifications based on job numbers and jurisdictions. Effective communication with the payroll department and coordination between payroll and other departments is crucial. The role also involves handling the administration of the electronic timekeeping system and ensuring employee records are accurately maintained and compliant with regulations. Responsibilities + Organize, summarize, and review timesheets daily. + Enter timesheets daily and verify that entered hours balance with timesheets. + Review and update union and class based on job number and jurisdiction of where the work is being performed. + Communicate employee payroll-related inquiries to the payroll department. + Coordinate efforts between payroll and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data. + Administer the electronic timekeeping system, including employee setup and monitoring submissions of approved timesheets. + Ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll service. + Establish and maintain employee records, ensuring timely and accurate entry of employee changes with proper authorization and compliance with regulations. + Provide management with weekly payroll reports. Essential Skills + Proficiency in payroll processing and union payroll. + Experience with weekly payroll for at least 250 union employees. + Understanding of cost codes. + Experience with multi-state and multi-union payroll. + Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Vista View Point is a plus. + Familiarity with TRACK Swipe system for punching in and out. + Experience with processing overtime and double-time. + Experience with handling overrides. Work Environment You will be working in a great tight-knit community with an option for one day of remote work from home. The role requires a thorough understanding of payroll processes and systems, and involves frequent communication with different departments to ensure smooth payroll operations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
