**About the role**
As a Union Stationary Technician you’ll use your skills to maintain CBRE buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis by conducting routine preventive maintenance inspections, diagnosing potential problems, and making repairs.
**What you’ll do**
+ Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds. Working under close supervision, assists in monitor the building's system operations and performance. Use several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
+ Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records required for each job.
+ Review assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders vital materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
+ Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems, as well as with repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
+ Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety standards.
+ Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. As well as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing and/or snow removal.
+ Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
+ Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
**What you’ll need**
+ Confirmed experience in building maintenance; including lighting and electrical, Commercial HVAC repair and preventative maintenance, and basic plumbing.
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
+ Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
+ This role does require the use of a personal computer and/ or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

· CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Union Stationary Engineer position is $63.00XX per hour and the maximum salary for the Union Stationary Engineer position is $69.52 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
